I would have to say this hike was one of the most adventurous. Our day included humidity so thick you couldn't breathe, severe thunderstorms, a beautiful owl, a grouse as well as a horse giving us a heart attack, lots of frogs, lots of creek crossings, 8 miles of rain so strong you couldn't see where you were going and lots of thorns, ticks and blisters.
Rabbit Creek 7.8 miles
Not the most difficult hike we have been on but it will give you a good workout. It's definitely more difficult than the brown book describes.
Abrams Creek Trail 4.2 Miles
It was nice to be on a familiar trail that was far less challenging than Rabbit Creek. We made it almost to the junction with Little Bottoms before the severe thunderstorm hit.
Little Bottoms Trail 2.3 Miles
2.3 miles of lightening, thunder, and rain pouring down on us. Other than that it was a pretty neat trail with great views, challenging areas and different types of environments. There aren't many pictures because I didn't want to get my camera wet and we were running to get off the peak and away from the lightening.
Cooper Road Trail 0.9 miles
A short, easy trial to get you back to the campground.
