Chestnut Branch will give you quite the workout, especially in the snow! It's uphill pretty much the entire 2.1 miles. It's one of those you mark off the map with permanent marker :)
Once you reach the intersection with the AT, the climb gets quite a bit easier but the wind was fierce this day and really hurt your face.
We got the section of the AT to Lower Mt. Cammerer marked off our map and turned around.
On to Davenport Gap. This trail has eluded me before, but not today, today I will conquer it!
Then we walked a couple miles to get back to our car to make this a loop hike.
