I have now completed 100 hikes in the Smoky Mountain since November 2013.

Hen Wallow Falls

This is my favorite waterfall in the Smokys so this is where I wanted to celebrate my 100th hike.

It is an uphill climb the whole way but not steep, just enough to get your lungs and legs working :)

It is a very serene and peaceful area.

The climb down to the falls is steep, so just take your time and go slow.  It's only 0.1 miles to the falls from the turn.

I just did this trail a few weeks ago but I really loved it and it is definitely my favorite trail to Leconte so when my friend wanted to go to Leconte for the first time I knew this was the trail I wanted to take.  It is not an easy trail by any means.  It is uphill the whole way but not crazy steep.  There are so many things to see along the way that it makes it easier to make the climb until you get to about the last mile, then your legs are done, the air is thin and you just want to be at the top :)
