Metcalf Bottoms and Little Brier Gap Trails

This is a nice, easy, historical trial.  

First you will stop at the Little Greenbrier School (0.6 miles in).  

Then the Walker Sisters Cabin (1.7 miles in).

The trail is wide and mostly gravel so it is a great beginner hike.

From the Walker Sisters Cabin you can turn around and hike back to Metcalf Bottoms making the total miles 3.4.  Or you can continue on Little Greenbrier Trail.  It is 1.9 miles to the road/end of the trail from here.  Little Greenbrier Trail doesn't offer much as far as scenery or historical places, it's just a nice walk in the woods. 

We decided to end our hike at the road rather than turning around and going back the way we came because of the heat this day.  At the road you just take a left and it takes you back to Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area.
